Employee Assistance Programs
Riverina Counselling offers therapy and programs to employer’s who are seeking mental health support in the workplace. This is a confidential space where an employee can access 3-6 sessions a year to address concerns.
Working in regional Australia has challenges from small communities, conflict, stigma around mental health and a lack of access to local services. Towns such as Grenfell, Cowra, West Wyalong and Cootamundra struggle due to less local support than the bigger hubs, such as Young (though we still have barriers here!)
Having a therapist and service that gets the difference between the smaller town and city dynamics can be a major help. Providing this service means prompt and timely care around mental health issues. These can occur within and outside the workplace but still impact work and family life a whole. Furthermore, we aim to provide more immediate based support for situations such as crisis events or critical incidents.
This timely response is key to early support and helping to prevent longer term mental health issues. This makes for a happier, healthier workplace, employee and family life. We also provide support to other businesses throughout Australia. This is often done via telehealth or video conference, arranged at a time and place that works for both parties.
For those living more remotely or even in the city, this is often a good pick as it means support isn’t delayed. With current massive waitlists across a number of services, this can delay intervention which can longer, wider hitting impacts.
